If you want a strong, beautiful, and aligned smile following orthodontic treatment, then it’s best to practice good oral hygiene on a regular basis while you have braces.

Oral hygiene in Spring, Texas, is vital for a successful oral health, especially because it helps prevent tooth decay, gum disease, and smile discoloration. So, to help you have the best oral hygiene routine possible, our Comfort Dental Excellence team encourages you to do the following things:

-Brush: Brush your teeth throughout the day, especially after each meal and snack. Doing so will not only help you keep clean and pristine teeth, but it will also help you avoid having a food-filled smile, which is extremely embarrassing. As you brush, please use a soft-bristled toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste.

-Floss: Floss your smile at least once a day. Flossing might be a bit difficult, but it’s easier than you think it is. All you need to do is thread the floss through the space between the wire and the front surface of the tooth and then gently push the floss between the teeth. Scrape the sides of each tooth and then move onto the next space.

-Rinse: Rinse your mouth daily with mouthwash. Make sure the wash is beneficial, like fluoride mouthwash or antibacterial mouthwash. That way you can nourish your teeth, deeply clean your smile, and achieve a pristine breath.
