Do your braces interrupt your dental hygiene? Are you struggling with your dental health because your braces interfere when you try to floss? You are not the first person to have had this exasperating experience, but we would like to and help ease it a little for you with a couple tips and tricks.

Almost all stores that sell dental hygiene products like toothpaste and toothbrushes, may also sell orthodontic floss threaders. Perhaps the most irritating part of flossing while you have braces is getting it underneath the wire, but the floss threader can make it as easy as sewing. The threader can give you the support you may need to get the floss beneath the wire and enable you to complete your routine. Before progressing to the next tooth, you should be sure that you’ve flossed gently to your gum line.

You may want to use waxed dental floss instead of the non-waxed because waxed can slide in between your teeth and may not get caught. Non-waxed floss could get snagged on the brackets and leaving filaments behind.
