Fastbraces®:
While traditional braces work in two stages, addressing first the crown of the tooth and then the root, Fastbraces® is designed to straighten your teeth quickly by aligning the crown and the root simultaneously. The new design uses specially-shaped triangular brackets and square wires, which gently move teeth into their final position in three months to a year. Fastbraces® are safe for both children and adults.
Invisalign®:
If you’re holding off on braces because you abhor the idea of metal brackets and wires in your mouth, ask Dr. Hamilton Calder if Invisalign® would be an effective alternative. Invisalign® is a custom-made plastic aligner that fits easily over your teeth and gently shifts your teeth into formation. It’s transparent, adjustable and can be easily removed during mealtimes and daily dental routines. Invisalign® also reduces your visits to the orthodontist: approximately every two weeks, you’ll have your aligners replaced to keep them fresh and fitted to your teeth, and that’s all.
